Going to the Cinema in China is actually around the same price if not more expensive than it is in western countries. The quality of theatres is very different depending on it's price. The big cinemas tend to be very clean. Although we are in China, most theatres will play foreign movies in the language it was filmed in with Chinese sub-titles at the bottom. Each theatre usually has only one foreign movie on at a time and it will run for about 3 weeks. The movies are almost always the major Hollywood action blockbusters like Spiderman, James Bond or Transformers. You will usually never see anything like Seven or The Shawshank Redemption here.
